The Iowa School of Beauty offers an esthetics course that comprises 600 hours of study. Students can attend day classes to meet the minimum of 30 hours per week, allowing them to complete the program within 20 weeks.

Curriculum
The State of Iowa requires 600 hours of instruction in the Esthetics program. The 600 hours consist of a minimum of 265 hours in demonstrations and lectures and 335 hours in supervised practical instruction.

Equipment, Textbooks and Supplies
The school provides each student with textbooks, equipment and other supplies. These items belong to the students, and they are responsible for replacing them in the event of loss or damage. The supplies provided include:

Payment
Payment Schedule Options
Methods of payment for application fee, equipment kit, textbook and tuition are as follows:
- Paid totally in advance.
- Paid in installments of $3544.00 for the first month, $2,250 per month for four additional consecutive months. If a student fails to complete the course in 22 weeks, the student will be charged at the rate of $17.50/hour for additional instruction.
Payment Methods
We accept different payment methods, including cash, credit or debit cards, money orders and cashier’s check. We also allow Title IV aid such as Pell grants, Direct Loan Programs and PLUS loans.

Graduation and Licensing Requirements
Once you have completed the 600-hour requirement, along with the academic and financial responsibilities, we will issue a diploma. You can then apply for the State Board Exam at a selected testing center to earn an Esthetics License in the State of Iowa.
