The student agrees:
- To attend classes regularly.
- To abide by the rules of the School, both as they are now written and as they may be changed from time to time as conditions or circumstances warrant.
- To pay the stated tuition of educational training, equipment, textbooks, supplies, and fees as stated in the contract.
To replace any lost or damaged equipment.
The student understands:
- They will be given school credit on the basis of one clock hour of work in attendance.
- Clock hours shall not be added to a student’s total or be deducted from hours earned for disciplinary reasons.
- They shall not be called from theory class to work on the public.
- All work done by students on the public shall be under the supervision of an instructor at all times.
- They are not allowed to work on the public until they have completed 10% of the course or as outlined by State regulations.
They will be given a final school examination upon completion of 1400 hours of training in Cosmetology, upon completion of 525 hours of training in Esthetics (Des Moines only), upon completion of 600 hours of training in Massage Therapy (Des Moines only), and upon completion of 275 hours of training in Nail Technology. The exam will be in theory and practical and the student must obtain a grade of 75% or higher to receive a passing grade.
- They will be eligible to take the Iowa State Board of Examination upon completion of Final Exams and the required hours for each program.
